Howl - Single Piece PDF

$4.00

In this piece I explore with the extensions over the harmonies, it’s also under the influence of jazz piano voicings. It's a good piece to work with textures, the student will be challenged to create a good balance between right and left hands, while figuring out how to conduct the eight notes in the left hand. The central section brings it to a different mood, such as redemption after a tense previous section. But just as the wolves will be always howling again the main theme is re-exposed, giving us tension one more time. It is dissolved in a whole diminished chord ending it with high “A” on the top of the voicing, switching its function from the previous chord where it was the ninth, causing a surprise feeling to the listener.
